Dunlap RAD and Hansen RAD Tenants Can Now Pay Rent and Submit Workorders Through the Tenant Portal

The Housing Authority has a Tenant Portal tool to provide additional services for our residents and section 8 HCV participants. Section 8 participants can update contact information, communicate with their caseworker, and send documents for recertification. 

Dunlap RAD and Hansen RAD residents can check their rent balance, make online rent payments via debit/credit card and e-checks, request work orders, update contact information, communicate with their caseworker, and send documents for recertification.

Please email vubri@perthamboyha.org to receive a registration code. Once you have a registration code and link to the Tenant Portal page, you will click "Register as a New User".

The Housing Authority of the City of Perth Amboy is happy to introduce to our applicants, a new Applicant Portal web tool to provide additional services by the Housing Authority. Through this Applicant Portal, applicants will be able to view and edit their application information, contact the Housing Authority via direct messaging, view and update their contact/notification preferences, submit and receive documents to and from the Housing Authority through the Secure Document Exchange and view their current waiting list status and position number(s).

A través de este portal, los solicitantes podrán ver y editar la información de su aplicación, comunicarse con La Autoridad de Vivienda a través de mensajes directos, ver y actualizar sus preferencias de contacto/notificación, enviar y recibir documentos hacia y desde La Autoridad de Vivienda, mediante intercambio seguro de documentos, ver su estado actual en la lista de espera y ver en que número se encuentran.

Waiting Lists for Dunlap RAD, Hansen RAD and Section 8 are currently closed. Please see below for information about the open Bethany Manor waiting list.

If you already have an application, use the status checker above to check your waiting list status. Please note, if no application information is found that means you did not meet the waiting list criteria that required you to be a Perth Amboy resident to apply, or a U.S. Veteran, or you were not chosen in the lottery. 

Please check back periodically for information on waiting list openings. Due to the high volume of calls and emails we cannot answer general inquiries as to how to apply for our section 8 program. Please scroll to the bottom of this page for helpful links to additional affordable housing resources.


Bethany Manor in Keyport Waiting List is Open

Perth Amboy Housing Authority is administering project-based vouchers (PBV) for Bethany Manor in Keyport, NJ. Rent for PBV tenants is based on 30% of adjusted income. This is a senior citizen high-rise building.  Applicants must be 62 years of age at the time of pre-application. If two people are applying and one applicant is under the age of 62, a marriage license is required. There is a maximum of one person in an efficiency and two persons in a one-bedroom apartment. The income limits for assistance are $41,150 for a one-person household and $51,600 for a two-person household.

There is currently a short waiting list for assistance, however, current Bethany Manor tenants paying market rent are provided a preference for the PBV program. Market rent is currently $1000 per month for an efficiency and $1353 per month for a one-bedroom.

Please be advised if you submit a pre-application but do not meet the required criteria, your pre-application will be disqualified, and you will receive no further communication from us.
